Ally Walker ("While You Were Sleeping") stars in this stylish suspense-thriller as a brilliant forensic psychologist with a unique gift for understanding the criminal mind. Along with her mentor, Bailey Malone (Robert Davi, "Die Hard"), she is part of an elite team of talented professionals who investigate high-profile crimes throughout the country.
Dr. Sam Waters (Walker) was a fast-track forensic psychologist with a special skill that enabled her to comprehend the human psyche and, as a result, to "think in pictures" and visualize a crime through the eyes of both the victim and the killer. Such a prized talent often gives law enforcement an edge in identifying criminals, but it exacted a heavy price on Sam: years earlier she got too close to a serial slayer named Jack of All Trades, and he murdered her husband.
A devastated Sam retired and retreated with her young daughter to live an anonymous life in the country with her close friend Angel Brown. But Sam was eventually coaxed out of her isolation by her old friend Malone, head of the FBI's Violent Crimes Task Force (VCTF), headquartered in Atlanta.
In addition to Sam, Malone enlists a crack unit of specialists, including Detective John Grant (Julian McMahon, "Magenta"), a handsome, driven professional who is uneasy with Sam's unorthodox methods; Grace Alvarez (Roma Maffia, "Chicago Hope"), a gifted forensic specialist; and George Fraley (Peter Frechette, "First Wives Club"), a world-class computer hacker. Together, Sam and the VCTF match wits with arsonists, bombers, perpetrators of hate crimes, and other elusive criminals.

As smart as she is beautiful, Ally Walker got a degree in biochemistry and was even involved in a research project into genetic engineering before her focus switched to the world of show business. She has appeared in numberous films and TV shows over the years, including Universal Soldier, Moon Over Miami, While You Were Sleeping and Happy, Texas.
Detective John Grant (Julian McMahon)
Australian-born ex-model McMahon starred in Home And Away, back in the day, but has gone on to become a bona fide Hollywood bigshot with shows like Charmed and Nip/Tuck. He also played the megalomaniacal Victor von Doom in Fantastic Four and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.
